My documentary movie is the Runner up

Will I get any practical experience? This story about my experience making the first short documentary movie entitled “Go Green” for Film Festival Green Absolute with Etniz.  In this case, how I make my movie is actually a mystery to me, so to explain the process of creativity is impossible. But, I will try to describe the process as it relates to my experience as a movie maker. First of all I must do some research. Even if I have known the topic well, still do research. I use the Internet and the library to find information. Also, talk to people who know about or are interested in my subject. Next, I must make a concept or brainstorm ideas and take lots of notes. Third, I do hunting the places that I will shoot.  After that, I have to figure out who the experts and mover. The final is shooting and editing. Many people think making a documentary movie is easy. However, making a documentary movie is not as easy as it seems, many things to be prepared.  Apart from that, there are a number of things that I might include in my documentary movie would be: 1. Interviews, 2. Recordings of events as they happen, 3. Pictures, drawings or documents, videos, and sound recordings. However, I have not seen doing anything complicated, I'm just trying to make it look good and qualified to be brought into competition. So, I must have a high enough quality that project I present don't just like a hollow home video. That's why, I try to do the best, and unexpectedly, I become a runner up of the Festival Film Green Absolute with Etniz is held in 2 Bekasi SHS. It really become a pride thing for me. I feel I’m really great. Because, I think I get it from my hard work. Now, as far as I know, I haven’t done anything. I have just begun to be better even the best. That's all of my experience as a movie maker. It’s really amazing experience. I want to keep it and hold it close, I never want to lose it.  When I come close to losing it, I will do whatever it is in my power to keep my pride around and cherish it. Why? It is because my pride is an extremely important thing to me.  I need it to survive and motivate my self.

A simple paragraph about Maharani

I and Maharani

Hello, I'm Devi. Do you want to know about my close friend? I'll introduce her to you. I have several friends at campus. Some are my campus fellows and some are my class fellow. But the best among them is Maharani, who is my class fellow. I got to live on campus from Monday to Thursday with my close friend, Maharani. Someone who is simple and kind, smart, pretty, and childish. She was always willing to take the time to help me if I needed a friend to accompany me to go to a place where I wasn't brave enough to go alone. Sometimes, I call her "ndut" because her body is more fat than me. She looks so attractive when singing. That's why, she always says, "Singing is my life". She wants to be a good singer. In addition to singing she really liked the western culture, especially Hollywood actress and movie. Everywhere, She always talks about that. "Julia Robert is my favorite actress, and I always watch movie which are played by her", she said. She thinks Pretty Woman is one of the best Hollywood movies, starring Julia Roberts. Her favorite part was when she imagined to be a woman in the movie. Truly, she is a woman with a golden voice and good taste of movies and artists. I wish she could be a famous singer later. All of the memories of our friendship will remain etched hearts.

My Birthday

This month is my 20th birthday. I will hold a party. I plan to have the party in my favorite Chinese restaurant by the sea. It is actually a big old Chinese boat. The restaurant management renovated and painted it red with golden details. It looks fabulous. The restaurant people will decorate the room with red lanterns, lotuses, and peaches. They will serve Chinese food: Pekingese duck, shark fin soup, fried noodles, abalone with bamboo shoot, and other dishes. I will invite everybody I know. They will wear cheongsam or Chinese traditional clothes. It will be a fantastic party.

Economics Teacher

I never like economics. In junior high school, my daily mark was never higher than six. The condition didn’t improve in senior high school because I didn’t like the teacher. He was impatient. In the end I simply did whatever he asked us to do but never tried my best.
This economics teacher was also not very clear when explaining something. That made me feel bored and do something else rather than listening to him. I didn’t take notes of what my teacher was saying. I often made drawings in my notebook or wrote poems or recited some song lyrics. I didn’t arouse my teacher’s suspicion. I did everything in my notebook. It was impossible for anyone to point the finger at me and say that I wasn’t taking notes unless they were close enough to see.
One day my teacher came to the economics class. He didn’t directly begin teaching. Instead, he asked to collect our notebooks. I panicked. My notebook was full of drawing instead of notes. But what else could I do but hand it in? There was no time to do anything. I could just sit and wait in fear of what would happen next.
I was right to be afraid. The teacher looked through the books. Then he called out some students. Those students were to see the school principal. My name was called. And together with some other unlucky classmates, I headed towards the principal’s office.
We were lucky. The principal didn’t punish us. The wise man told us to respect other people, in this case, our economics teacher. Then he dismissed us. He only asked us to apologize. I was stunned. He indeed was a wise man. He made me regret what I had done. I learned my lesson!

Novel by Roald Dahl

When I was visiting my nephew's house yesterday. Inadvertently, I saw a novel titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It is my old sister’s novel, she has two novels of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: English version and translated version in Indonesia Language. She is one of the novel by Roald Dahl lovers. In addition, Quentine Blake is his favorite illustrator, that's why she's very interested in the novels of Roald Dahl. She said Roald Dahl always has an imaginative story; Quentine Blake always makes an interesting cover for them. The novel ever made a movie in 2005. The film was starred by Freddie Highmore as Charlie
Bucket and Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. It is very interesting and exciting. But, I felt more interested when I was reading the novel.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a novel for children. The main characters are Charlie Bucket and Mr. Willy Wonka. The setting time and place is inside a chocolate factory a long time ago.
Mr. Willy Wonka was a mysterious businessman. He wasn’t very sociable, and he didn’t have anyfriends. Because, he was alone all the time. People thought he was an eccentric, a strange man. Mr. Wonka had a chocolate factory. The factory looked frightening like a haunted house. People believed there were ghosts inside. It was a big mistery.
One day, he made an announcement. People who found golden tickets inside the wrapper of Wonka chocolate bars would get a special prize: a unique tour of the factory by Mr. Wonka himself. There were only five tickets across the country. And, only one of them would get the factory when Mr. Wonka died. For Charlie Bucket, this was a dream come true. He liked chocolate very much but he could only have it on his birthday. It was too expensive. His family wasn’t wealthy, they didn’t have much money. One day, he found a dollar bill in the street. He immediately bought two delicious Wonka chocolate bars. He ate one quickly. Then he unwrapped the second chocolate bar. He was excited, very happy, to find a golden ticket.
The next day, Charlie, along with the other winner (Mike, Verucca, Violet, and Augustus) entered the factory gates. They wanted to find out, about Mr. Wonka and his mysterious factory, it seemed to have many secrets. After the tour, they would never forget everything they saw. Life would never be the same again for them, especially Charlie.

About The Meeting with My Best Friend

That afternoon, the weather was very cool in Jakarta. When I was driving my car, my phone rang. It was from my best friend. He is Faisal Abdul Azis. Friend who hadn’t seen for almost a year. We met before he went to Malaysia a year ago. But that afternoon, I heard his voice. We talked and decided to meet at a cafe in Jakarta.

Indonesia Plaza cafe was a place that was chosen by him to meet last night. When I arrived, he was waiting for me at the table no.26. Not much change from him. It’s just that he looks more white than before. Both of us couldn’t contain our nostalgia, it was obvious from us.

Telling our stories, laughing, and joking, that's what we did for five hours in there. It wasn’t enough to cure our nostalgia. But unfortunately, the time was very late. Eventually, Our conversation was ended by a news from him. A news about his study that he is going to continue his post-graduate to Singapore. And he is going to go next week.

I just hope we always be best friend. And the meeting was an unforgettable day for me. One precious thing that I can get from him. He had taught me that our dreams could reach with hard work and prayer. Exactly, how we must look to the future and doing for it.
